WHAT STEPS CAN I TAKE?
One step you can take is making sure that your pipes are insulated, especially in crawl spaces or attics, even if you live in an area where freezing temperatures are uncommon. Seal anything leaks that might allow cold air inside of your home. Finally, allowing your faucet to drip overnight, especially when not in heavy use, may be enough to keep the water moving and prevent pipes from freezing.
