LISD Classroom
We had the best time today speaking to the Lewisville ISD students about how the field of plumbing relates to their everyday STEM studies. We went over how vent pipes allow the drains to work correctly by removing the vacuum that would be present without them. We were able to guide them through the newest technology and show them how the Viega Pro Press machines and fittings work. Then, we went on a historical journey where Joseph Bazalgette saved the city of London with his engineering of the London sewer system. Finally, we went over how important Math was, even in everyday places such as their school. Without math, we would not be able to size our sewer system or roof drains correctly. If we couldn’t size them correctly it would prevent us from gathering to learn and grow with one another.
